I haven't worked with a therapist before. What happens?

The therapy session is a space for you to tell your story and for the therapist to help you make sense of it. It's often a place where the deeper, less obvious, story can unfold as well. Ultimately you'll start to understand how you've become the person you are. However, with short-term work, there would be a specific area of focus. Ultimately the sessions are as much about collaboration as anything else. 

How long does it take?

It really depends on what you'd like to work on. This is something we'd decide with an initial chat where we would explore your goals. With ongoing sessions, you would decide when the time is right to finish.
